The story of Domaine Thomson
Join us for a rare and intimate wine dinner celebrating Domaine Thomson, an extraordinary family estate spanning Central Otago, New Zealand and Burgundy, France.
Hosted by owner PM (Pui Mun) Chan, this exclusive event explores how one guiding philosophy found expression across two hemispheres. PM will share her wines and the deeply personal story of her viticultural journey over five delicious and perfectly matched courses prepared by our Executive Chef, Jordon Garcia,
Domaine Thomson was created in 2000 by PM and her husband David Hall-Jones in Otago New Zealand. Incredibly, this remarkable estate grew to encompass vineyards planted across two hemispheres when they purchased several sites in iconic Burgundy appellations. The pair were driven by a single philosophy: that great wine is born from patience, place and long-term stewardship.
Their first vineyards were planted in Lowburn, Central Otago, overlooking the magnificent Lake Dunstan. From the outset, the ambition was never scale, but precision based on Burgundian principles of site expression, restraint and longevity. While Central Otago provided the physical foundation of their vision, Burgundy was always the spiritual anchor for PM and David. Incredibly, the estate soon grew to encompass the establishment of vines in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin before plantings in Saint-Aubin of the Côte de Beaune, Mercurey and Mellecey of the Côte Chalonnaise.
Do not miss PM’s amazing story as you enjoy her premium wines from both Otago and Burgundy; all perfectly matched with gourmet cuisine from Chef Jordon Garcia.
