Annata presents Burgundian Bloodlines — a five-course dining journey devoted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir as they express themselves across four countries and five distinct terroirs. The event will be held over two evenings on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June 2026, commencing at 7:00pm. Your host will be our favourite guest sommelier; Nick Barlow.
Your evening begins with the sparkling elegance of the 2019 Kreglinger Vintage Brut blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Tasmania's Pipers River. The first course opens our Chardonnay journey with a vivid contrast of terroir: the 2024 Pascal Bouchard Petit Chablis paired with the maritime elegance of the 2024 Pipers Brook Estate Chardonnay from Tasmania. The second course elevates Chardonnay to its most expressive heights. The 2022 Château de Meursault Clos du Château Blanc from the legendary walled vineyard of one of Burgundy's greatest estates is paired with the premium 2023 Montalto Single Vineyard Tuerong Chardonnay from the Mornington Peninsula.
Our third course marks the transition to Pinot Noir with two of the New World's most compelling expressions: the 2024 Terra Sancta Jacksons Block from Central Otago paired with the magnificent 2018 Sokol Blosser Dundee Hills Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley. The fourth course returns to Burgundy. The 2022 Château de Meursault Les Chaillots Ladoix Rouge is paired with the 2021 Clos Ostler Caroline's Pinot Noir from New Zealand's remarkable Waitaki Valley. Our evening concludes with the extraordinary Ratafia Chardonnay de Montgueux — rated 94 points by the Wine Front — a rare, fortified Champagne style that brings our Chardonnay story full circle in the most indulgent fashion.
Executive Chef Jordon Garcia has curated a five-course degustation menu to complement each wine pairing. It will be published soon.
